Matthias Pürner & Friends are actually not a band at all. They are on the road with their own musical projects at festivals, concerts and folk music events all over Germany and Austria. But when time allows, they get together to play the music they grew up with and love: traditional, alpine folk music - spontaneous, informal, full of joy and preferably without a big stage directly at the pub table. In the repertoire are dancing polkas, groovy "Boarische" and waltzes to revel in. Mixed in with these are original compositions of their own, which pick up on Bavarian tavern music in an authentic and contemporary way.
