History of the beer tent

The tent was built in 1895 by the "Winzerer Fähndl" crossbowmen's guild to accommodate marksmen and visitors and to hold championships. An eagle over the main entrance and an archer on the tower are reminders of this tradition. For more than 80 years, the German Crossbow Championships have also been held on the shooting ranges in the tent extension during the Oktoberfest.

It goes without saying that the Armbrustschützenzelt also offers traditional food and drink. Combined with the warm hospitality and quick, charming waiters, nothing stands in the way of a great day at the Oktoberfest.
