Our suppliers and partners

As an original Bavarian inn, we have a special connection to our region. For this reason, we want to promote and support regional products. In doing so, we pay close attention to ecologically sustainable practices and the highest quality.

We are fortunate to have found businesses around Munich that share these principles with us:

Ayinger private brewery

Beer - the gold of Bavaria... Most Munich breweries are now part of global corporations and have somewhat lost their Bavarian heart and soul. Not so the Ayinger private brewery on the outskirts of Munich. The Bavarian way of life has been lived here for six generations and Ayinger beers have stood for the highest quality and the art of brewing since 1878. These values are upheld today by the Inselkammer family.

The range includes ten different types of beer - from Bairisch Pils to Urweisse and Weizenbock. Brewed according to original recipes, but not closed to new developments - this is what the Ayinger private brewery stands for.

At Wirtshaus Ayinger, we offer every Ayinger beer specialty either on tap or in the bottle. The perfect accompaniment to our hearty Bavarian dishes!

Wolfra

Naturally Bavarian, even when it comes to juices. With Wolfra, we have found another partner who shares our regional and sustainable philosophy. In Wolfratshausen, an hour from Munich and on the heights of Lake Starnberg, lies a beautiful orchard region.

This is exactly where Wolfra sources its fruit, which is then processed into high-quality organic juices, direct juices, juice spritzers and seasonal specialties.

Enjoy the delicious Bavarian juices on your next visit to the Wirtshaus Ayinger am Platzl.

Liebl

What could be better after a hearty meal than a really high-quality schnapps? Williams pear is the classic and that's what we offer at Wirtshaus Ayinger am Platzl from the specialty distillery LIEBL.

The distillery, based and bottled in Bad Kötzting, draws inspiration for its products from the atmospheric beauty of the Bavarian Forest. “By using traditional recipes, we succeed time and again in combining the art of distilling with natural raw materials. That's why we focus on high quality and careful care of our specialties right from the start.”

You are also welcome to try other spirits at Ayinger am Platzl.

All sides benefit from this cooperation: the farmer is duly remunerated and receives a secure source of income. The restaurateurs can rely on consistent, good quality and reliable deliveries. And the guest is served fresh, excellent dishes made from carefully inspected meat.

See for yourself and try our Bavarian young bull loin with Aying beer mustard pretzel crust, for example.

Piller Brezen

It is impossible to imagine a real Munich "Weisswurst" breakfast without it - the “Brezn” or pretzel as it is also known. But the pretzel is not only delicious in the morning - it also tastes great with a snack: pretzels with fresh Obatzter bring you a little closer to Bavarian heaven. What many people don't know is that there are big differences in quality and so most people have eaten a lot of pretzels, but never a really good one.

We want to change that! Here at Ayinger am Platzl you can enjoy genuine “Piller pretzels”, which quite a few consider to be the best pretzels in the world. Otherwise, you can only get the legendary pretzels at the city stalls of the so-called bread women or in some of the large Oktoberfest tents, for which the Piller bakery has been baking since 1972. The recipe is the same as back then and the result is unmistakable: crispy on the outside, soft and delicately yeasty on the inside. Of course, the pretzels are a perfect chestnut brown and have the obligatory belly crack.

Munich City Innkeepers Association

More than 30 inns in Munich's city center have joined forces to form a hospitable partnership. “Die Münchner Innenstadtwirte” represent the real culinary life in the Isar metropolis - original and unadorned.

One of the joint campaigns is the support of regional shopping under the BayernOX® brand. The gourmet voucher, which can be redeemed in any partner restaurant, is also popular. Simply top it up with your desired amount and give it as a gift to anyone who would like to get to know the Munich pub scene.

Of course, the Ayinger am Platzl pub is also a member of the Munich City Innkeepers Association.
