Why not ride the tram through Christmassy Munich? The Christkindltram is the perfect way to take a somewhat different tour of a Munich decked out for the festive season. With mulled wine, punch and Christmas goodies accompanied by festive music, you’ll be taken past some of the city’s key sights on this festively decorated tram.

The tram operates 29 November to 23 December Monday to Friday from 3:30 to 7:00 and on weekends from 11:00 to 7:30. The ride starts at Sendlinger Tor every half hour. Other stops include the Maximilian monument, the National Theatre, Theatinerstraße, Lenbachplatz and Karlsplatz before returning to Sendlinger Tor. The total journey lasts 25 minutes. While you wait for the next tour, you can enjoy the hot beverages and gingerbread on offer.

A ride on the Christmas tram is a great experience, and not just for the adults. Thanks to the special children’s programme on Sundays, the smaller passengers will love the magic show, balloon animations and Santa Claus, who will visit on 5 December.
The Platzl team wishes you lots of fun!
